8th grade band practice after school on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 3-4pm
All-County band auditions after school on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 3-5:30pm (pickup at Chan. MS)
7th, 8th grade winter concert on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7pm
6th grade band practice after school on Dec. 12 from 3-4pm
6th grade winter concert on Dec. 15 at 7pm.

Mr. Christopher P. Hoovler

Mr. Hoovler is the band director at Freedom Middle School. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from James Madison University and his Master's Degree in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been teaching band in the public schools since 1997. Mr. Hoovler is a member of VMEA, VBODA, and Phi Beta Mu. Mr. Hoovler has earned Virginia Honor Band status as a former high school director, eleven VMEA Blue Ribbon awards, and has earned numerous superior ratings in his career.
