All County Band is happening Saturday only!

All County Band has been moved to take place all day Saturday, March 3rd. Here is the updated schedule. Parents will need to provide all transportation.

Friday, March 2: The whole day is cancelled

Saturday, March 3:
8:00 a.m. - students meet at Freedom MS ONLY if you need something (instruments and whatever else you might need)
8:30 a.m. - Rehearsals begin - Band is at Spotsylvania High School. We will try to begin as close to 8:30 as possible.
1:00 p.m. - Lunch
5:00 p.m. - Band concert at Spotsylvania High School

Mr. Christopher P. Hoovler

Mr. Hoovler is the band director at Freedom Middle School. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from James Madison University and his Master's Degree in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been teaching band in the public schools since 1997. Mr. Hoovler is a member of VMEA, VBODA, and Phi Beta Mu. Mr. Hoovler has earned Virginia Honor Band status as a former high school director, ten VMEA Blue Ribbon awards, and has earned numerous superior ratings in his career.
