The first rehearsal for our 7th and 8th grade assessment band is coming up this Wednesday.  If your child is in 8th grade, please sign the permission slip and return it by Wednesday.  If your child is in 7th grade, they are invited to participate, but it is not required.  Please discuss it with your 7th grade child to see if it is something they would like to do.  Smartmusic is strongly encouraged so that practice can be done at home with immediate feedback.

The event takes place on February 16th and 17th at Brooke Point HS.  More info and permission slip coming soon!  

Auditions for district band are on January 13th, 2018.  All 7th and 8th grade band students are strongly encouraged to audition.  The $5 audition fee will be paid by the band's fundraising account, so your child will NOT pay a fee to audition.  Your child should practice the audition material as much as possible (all major scales, the audition etude, chromatic scale).  The "All-District Band" and "All-County Band" auditions have merged into one audition.  If your child makes district band or scores an average of 60 points or more, they make All County Band, too!  Click here for more information.
