Concerts Coming Soon!

The bands at FMS have been hard at work in preparing for this Winter's concerts! The 6th grade has rehearsal on Monday, Nov. 27. The 7th grade band rehearsal is December 5th. All rehearsals are from 3-4pm.

Concerts:
Dec. 6 – 6th Grade Band Concert, 6:30PM
Dec. 13 – 7th Grade (6:45PM) and 8th Grade (7:15PM) Band Concert

Mr. Christopher P. Hoovler

Mr. Hoovler is the band director at Freedom Middle School. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from James Madison University and his Master's Degree in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been teaching band in the public schools since 1997. Mr. Hoovler is a member of VMEA, VBODA, and Phi Beta Mu. Mr. Hoovler has earned Virginia Honor Band status as a former high school director, eleven VMEA Blue Ribbon awards, and has earned numerous superior ratings in his career.
