Thank you to all the students who tried out at A.G. Wright Middle School on January 19th. These students were accepted into the District Band. The event takes place February 16 and 17 at Brooke Point High School. Great job everyone!!

Mr. Christopher P. Hoovler

Mr. Hoovler is the band director at Freedom Middle School. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from James Madison University and his Master's Degree in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been teaching band in the public schools since 1997. Mr. Hoovler is a member of VMEA, VBODA, and Phi Beta Mu. Mr. Hoovler has earned Virginia Honor Band status as a former high school director, ten VMEA Blue Ribbon awards, and has earned numerous superior ratings in his career.
