I look forward to seeing parents and students on Tuesday, August 10! You can come to FMS from 9-11am, 1-3pm, or 5-7pm. If you are in 6th grade and still need to be paired with an instrument, we will do that during the first few days in band class. I have also posted the updated calendar and band handbook which will be distributed during the first few days of school.
Are you ready to find out which instrument you would like to play in the band?! Come and meet with Mr. Hoovler by clicking the "Schedule Appointment" link at the top of the page! Questions? Email Mr. Hoovler!
Your child will have time to explore two instruments of their choice if you sign up for an appointment. They can choose from flute, clarinet, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, and percussion. Instrument spots are limited, so instruments are assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Greetings! We have tons of information to share about the band program here at FMS! If you are looking for an appointment to meet with Mr. Hoovler to decide which band instrument you would like to play, please check back in May for those appointments to be open (the link will be right here!). In the meantime, please check out the band video below!
Welcome to band! If you are in 6th grade, please visit https://freedomband.simplybook.me/v2/ to set your appointment to get set up with a band instrument! If you are 7th or 8th grade, please be sure to have your essential elements book and instrument for class! A music stand for home use is also HIGHLY recommended!
